HappyLand International Foods Market has opened its doors this summer to metro Detroiters and we’re honored to have you during our grand opening on Monday, October 17th, 2022 at 1:00 pm.

We’re excited to offer Detroiters and neighboring residents our selection of international foods: daily fresh meat and grocery. About a year ago, a group of entrepreneurs teamed up to open a supermarket in the heart of District 7. We have revitalized the old Save-A-Lot building at 8000 Schaefer Hwy and heavily invested in modernizing the building to make it an attractive grocery market. 

Dr. Nabil Albadani one of the owners of HappyLand says the primary drive behind this project is to meet the community’s needs in finding fresh grocery and meat offerings. “We realized that this area, in particular, lacks any major super grocery where residents can shop for groceries with reasonable prices. We teamed up with experts in international foods, bringing groceries from overseas as well as offering local fresh produce from Michigan.
